Introduction

In accordance with applicable Russian Law on Communications, FSUE Morsviazsputnik (“Morsviazsputnik”), has put into operation a solution that meets the regulatory requirements with regard to GX traffic on the territory of the Russian Federation.

This solution is now operational for all visiting GX User Terminals (“UTs”), which need to be registered on the GX UT database. Non-registered GX UTs will not be able to use the Inmarsat GX service when operating within the territory of the Russian Federation including the 12-mile limit of its territorial waters and Russian airspace.

This solution will affect all GX UTs that are located in Russia during their IP communication sessions.
