STEAM (Sea Traffic in the Eastern Mediterranean) shortlisted for the #IAPH2022 Sustainability Award

Tototheo Maritime is proud to be one of the partners in the innovative project STEAM (Sea Traffic management in the Eastern Mediterranean). A collaborative effort between key stakeholders that has been shortlisted for the #IAPH2022 Sustainability Award in the ‘Digitalization’ category. Being shortlisted among other great projects for this prestigious award is a significant recognition of the pioneering work and contribution being made by everyone involved.

The aim of the STEAM project is efficient sea traffic management in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea ensuring at the same time maritime safety and environmental sustainability. The aim of the project is achieved by:

  • Extending the Port Collaborative Decision Making (Port CDM) platform
  • Establishing the Limassol Shore Center (LSC)
  • Incorporating innovative technological solutions into maritime operations
  • Providing advanced data analytics services to maritime stakeholders

It is also important to mention here that the port of Limassol plays a vital role in the aim and objectives of STEAM due to its strategic location and acts as a hub in the Eastern Mediterranean region providing various services such as optimizing sea traffic, enhanced monitoring as well as search and rescue.
